11 x 14 color pencil

*** This is a repost of last nights pic. Better lighting and camera settings got truer colors and a bit better resolution.

I intended this to be a quick simple pinup piece. That didn't happen, I have problems with simple. It was still quick for me though, under a week from sketch to finish.
Shot with camera so lost a lot detail. Will repost when I get a proper scan. She will be in the MFF art show.

Four years younger than her sister Kesharaexa, Natta took after their mother, a Bengal and was quite petite as far as tigers go but also inherited her mothers magic abilities. Kesh on the other hand, outweighed her by almost a hundred pounds, getting that from their father who was of Siberian stock. Their father started training Kesh in the warrior arts almost as soon as she could grip a sword.
At nattas birth, her mother sensed instantly that she had magic talent, a very strong one, and likewise started teaching her of the mystic arts as soon as she could speak.
By age 14, she was performing magics flawlessly that her mother wouldn't even attempt. At 16, enough money had been saved to send her to a master Enchanter for greater training.
Then everything changed with the murder of their parents….

This amazing artwork made me write critique for the very first time. Although I WASN'T so crazy for Anthro, although I'm too much critical of everyone (myself even more), just cannot find anything wrong and just cannot stop looking at this impressive tigress' personality, drawn so life-like that we have to be convinced that this powerful being has been existing somewhere.

Brilliant idea, professionally drawn! Wonderful human tigress, sitting elegantly, drinking wine, enjoying life, looking down at something with glance full of curiousness hidden behind her dignity and majestic attitude. Meanwhile having proportional beautiful woman body, she is adorable tigress with her enviable fur.

The ability of artist is overwhelming. He was able to bring this creature to life making her so incredible with no much decoration on her and around her, drawing with true colors in such an unique style and making impressive shadows; the top of her tail seems just popping out from screen.

I'm used to saying that drawing some reference photo is NOT an art, this is just question of practice; but drawing something that's found only in our minds - THIS IS TRUE ART !!!!
This artwork is more than PERFECT !

Well done!
This work is excellent.
The colour, the depth and texture is PERFECT!
I repeat, its PERFECT.

There is only one thing that I believe you could think about for another artwork that will be similar.

Her bust shape and its position is accordance with the combination of human and tiger anatomy.
The breast (note this is in my opinion only) may be a bit too triangular, when the shape may tend to have a slight modest but elegant curve to it.

The second part of this, which is more important, is the position. The left breast is protruding from a clean side profile position. However, the Tigress has half of her back facing us, and so, it may have to follow that rotation by being slightly hidden and starting not from the top of her neck, but perhaps a little further down.

What tends to happen with the breast, is that it forms from a curve that starts below the collar bone, and then the bottom tucks under.

I know I sound a little bit like the creep, but the human body in particular is renowned for its elegance with the bust and hip shape. This in general defines physical elegance. When working in art, we try to express this on most occasion.

The stripes are a FANTASTIC indicator of her anatomy. This is proven excellently by the detail and provides anatomic reality.

The texture and selection of colour for the textiles were also well done.

Take my critique as a simple gesture of appreciation and care of your work.
Keep up the good work!

Beautiful piece! For balance I would add more striping on the arms or less striping on the legs, but otherwise it's very beautifully done.

This is one of the most impressive anthro pieces I've seen lately. There are a lot of anthro artists that work in this more realistic style, but it always leaves the subject's expression cold and lifeless, and even some of the most reknown in the community make that mistake. Its a terrible sacrifice to make, everything looks taxidermed. Its not worth putting so much effort into realism if it looks dead by the end of it. Definitely not the case with this piece! You've captured that silent aura of power and majesty that tigers radiate and combined it with the grace of the human female form quite flawlessly. She looks very much alive. THIS is succesful anthro work. Excellent job, and keep it up!

The large blank space in the upper right definitely puts attention on the reclining figure. That her stripes seem to point toward her upper body and head are a nice bonus.
